A Trip to The Rose Bar & Grille
A little over a month ago, I posted on the opening of The Rose Bar & Grille in Downtown Buffalo. At the time, I spoke to Latisa "Lisa" Roosevelt on the phone, upon which time she told me about all of her plans and desires for the restaurant. This past weekend, I paid a visit to the restaurant with a buddy of mine, to see firsthand how her operation was going. I was especially interested to see how well she was utilizing the space, which is rather large.

14 Essential New Restaurants to Try This Summer 2019
Even though there is a lot to be talkin' proud about in Buffalo right now, even the city's biggest supporters would likely admit; it could be better when it comes to diversity and inclusivity.
With her new bar-restaurant, called The Rose, Lisa Roosevelt is looking to change that. Located in the Fairmont Creamery Building, just a stone's throw from KeyBank Center, The Rose is dedicated to bringing a diverse crowd together through good food, strong service and great music.
A second passion for Lisa Roosevelt at The Rose Bar & Grille
Latisa "Lisa" Roosevelt could have wrapped up her final years before retirement as a registered nurse at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center without delving into something new. After all, she'd already spent more than two decades in a tough work environment helping others.
But when the opportunity to guest bartend came along at the now-closed Humboldt Inn five years ago, a new desire was planted: Roosevelt wanted to open her own bar-restaurant.
THE ROSE: Buffalo's Newest Bar & Grille is a Class Act!
In a male-dominated industry, Latisa "Lisa" Roosevelt is illustrating the great potential women possess.
"Women are strong and we are very independent and I don't think we get the credit that's due" said Roosevelt when asked about being the owner of Buffalo's newest restaurant.
Lisa is the sole owner of The Rose Bar and Grille, located at 199 Scott Street; a new establishment which has taken the restaurant industry by storm.
As Buffalo native and registered nurse at a NYS facility, Lisa saw herself giving more in the form of "customer service".
